Hopefully, this is not considered late. X3 I tried my best to get it in on time but I have so much work to do this weekend I'm like... scrambling. x_X



Anyways, here's the character I designed: Mundoo. Supposedly, his story goes like this (and you can change it if you don't like it Whivs)...

He was once some random Native American chief who was killed when his homeland was invaded by explorers who (as we all know) eventually became the source of his and his tribe's demise. A powerful and noble chief, the spirits he and his tribe worshiped allowed him to become one himself and he now sort of haunts the world, basically.

He is an earth spirit, representing and protecting nature from the horrible destructive tendencies of mankind. But he's a very peaceful spirit at the same time, preferring to resolve problems as opposed to ruthlessly punishing wrong doings. He is covered in symbols and pieces that, in his culture, are peaceful and endearing. However, many humans in the present day consider them evil or diabolical, so his intentions are constantly misunderstood.

For example, the name Mundoo is Algonquin, and it means 'great spirit'. However, due to some early usage of it by European explorers, it is now associated with the devil. Similarly, due to its role in the telling of the Bible, the snake is also considered a symbol of evil, when to the Native Americans, the snake was nothing more than a symbol of the earth and nature. Furthermore, movies like Jurassic Park has made the Tyrannosaurus Rex an evil movie monster. But this form was given to Mundoo as a symbol of strength, power, and again as a reference to the earth, where fossils and remains of this animal can be found.

In short, he is a very misunderstood character. He is peaceful, quiet, noble and very just, with a desire for all animals to live in peace. But humans continuously make this difficult for him and he is beginning to believe that the world would be better off with them. They killed his human body, they decimated his tribe and their land, they continue to destroy the world around them despite knowing exactly what they are doing, they kill and rape and destroy all they touch. He is slowly beginning to doubt their sanctity...

It is likely that he has magical powers (mostly of a healing or light related nature), but if he does, he uses them sparingly. It is noted that he can shapeshift into at least a falcon (and occasionally a mountain lion when he is angry enough), but again, he does not do it very often.


Feel free to change anything about him if you choose to keep him Whivit. :3 I know his markings are kind of lame/fail... and he has like no color. >.>
